Ropice: Hotels and Accommodation

Ropice lies in the broad valley of the Ropičanka River in the Podbeskydí region.

History and Landscape

Ropice Chateau was rebuilt in the Neoclassical style in 1810. The listed chateau complex includes a chateau park and the embankment of the chateau pond.

The parish Church of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary in Ropice was built in 1806 on the site of the Baroque Church of St Catherine, dating from 1733 to 1736. During repairs in 2019, the right-hand chapel in the cemetery by the church in Ropice received new interior and exterior plaster as well as a stone cladding.

Routes and Activities

The shared path for pedestrians and cyclists connects the city of Třinec via the Nebory district through Ropice with Český Těšín. Behind Ropice Chateau, the path connects to Cycle Route 46 from Jihlava to Český Těšín.

The puzzle trail to Ropice can be undertaken with an all-terrain stroller or by bicycle. Ropice has a stop on the main Bohumín–Jablunkov–Žilina railway line.

Golf and Views

Ropice Golf Resort has a 27-hole complex, which was expanded by a further nine holes in 2023. Both professional and less experienced players can play golf at Ropice Golf Resort. The golf course at Ropice Golf Resort offers panoramic views of the Silesian Beskids massif, dominated by Javorový vrch.
