On Prašivá stands a wooden church built in 1640, which is a national cultural monument.

Culture and History

The historic wooden Prašivá mountain lodge dates back to 1921 and is located at an altitude of 706 meters above sea level. A historic lookout tower is integrated into the mountain lodge. The wooden church is open to the public during the pilgrimage on the first Sunday after June 13 and during several other services.

Nature and River Landscape

The Skalická Morávka National Nature Monument also includes the cadastral area of Vyšní Lhoty and protects a natural, dynamic, braided gravel section of the Morávka River. The protected area includes gravel banks and riparian ecosystems that are home to rare or endangered plant and animal species. The Skalická Morávka site is freely accessible and can be reached by car within 250 meters.

The weir near Vyšní Lhoty divides the Morávka into a natural river course and a water supply canal and is considered a technical rarity. The Kršle Nature Reserve is also located in the cadastral area of Vyšní Lhoty. It covers 35.9007 hectares and extends across elevations from 410 to 700 meters.

Trails and Activities

Running and cycling routes start and end at the Prašivá mountain lodge. An official paragliding takeoff and landing site with operating regulations is designated on Prašivá.

The Prašivá educational trail features 26 information panels and two panoramic viewpoints and passes through 11 municipalities. Cycle Route 6174 leads from Prašivá through Vyšní Lhoty to Žermanice and Záguří. The Morávka–Pražmo–Vyšní Lhoty–Prašivá route is listed as one of the starting routes of the Prašivá educational trail.

Events

The Kamenité natural amphitheater is open to the general public and serves as a venue for cultural and social events.
