Culture

Vojkovice was established around the year 1500. The Chapel of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary was completed and consecrated in 1890. A statue of Saint Francis of Assisi in Vojkovice is listed in the state register of cultural monuments and was restored in 2014.

Cuisine

The herbal liqueur “Vojkovická hořká” was produced in Vojkovice from medicinal herbs from the foothills of the Beskids and distilled there until 1952. Šalanda is open on weekends as a brewery restaurant accessible to the public. The “Koníčkův den” beer festival takes place every year in June.

Trails

The “Vojkovické toulky” hiking route in Vojkovice is easy and 5.5 km long. It alternates between footpaths, paved roads, and forest and gravel paths, and includes three short, steep climbs. The Výletiště at the end of the “Vojkovické toulky” route offers opportunities for active and passive recreation. Cycle route 6005 passes through Vojkovice and forms a loop via Frýdek-Místek, Žermanice, Domaslavice, Nošovice and Raškovice.

Single-track railway line 322 between Frýdek-Místek and Český Těšín runs through Vojkovice. Dobratice pod Prašivou railway station is located within the territory of Vojkovice, approximately 1.9 km from the village centre.
