Stará Ves Nad Ondřejnicí: Hotels and Accommodation
In Stará Ves nad Ondřejnicí stands the Church of St. John the Baptist, built on the site of an older wooden church at the expense of the then landowner, Ctibor the Elder Syrakovský. Construction lasted from 1587 to 1589; in 1591, the church was consecrated by the Bishop of Olomouc, Stanislav Pavlovský. It was built in the so-called transitional style, which combines Gothic and Renaissance elements. During the restoration of the interior, a Renaissance figural fresco from the period of its foundation, before 1600, was discovered. Work carried out from 2001 to 2002 uncovered a depiction of Calvary with Christ, Aaron, and Moses.
Stará Ves nad Ondřejnicí is also home to a Renaissance building from the second half of the 16th century: the château with its impressive sgraffito decoration. Cultural events and concerts take place in its arcaded courtyard.
