Bludov: Hotels and Accommodation

The Bludov Castle Orangery is one of the oldest surviving orangeries in northern Moravia and the Czech Republic. St. George’s Church features a ceiling painting from 1895 created using an industrial painting technique considered unique throughout Moravia. The Žerotín Crypt is located next to St. George’s Church; it contains the remains of Karel the Elder of Žerotín and can be visited by prior arrangement.

Bludov Castle was probably built around the middle of the 13th century. In 1471, it was conquered and destroyed by Matthias Corvinus; its ruins lie on Hradisko Hill near Zámeček. Cultural events are held in the hall of Bludov Castle, while the interior of Bludov Castle can only be visited on a few occasions.

Bludovská stráň is a wooded slope approximately three kilometres long and an important landscape element registered on 20 June 1995. The Bludovská stráň educational trail is a 4.5 km circular route; walking slowly, it takes approximately 2 to 2.5 hours. The trail can be accessed from the U zámku car park, which also has a bus stop, as well as from Bludov railway station.

Gryngle Nature Park provides a habitat for numerous bird species, including rare tawny owls.

Pradědovo dětské muzeum is considered the first regional children’s museum in the Czech Republic. It is suitable for all weather conditions and open year-round. Beach volleyball can be played at Vlčí důl natural swimming pool.

A natural mineral thermal spring of the sulfate-chloride-sodium type rises on the grounds of Lázně Bludov.
