Hněvotín features a compact, clearly defined historic centre and a row-style Haná settlement pattern with agricultural farmsteads. The Church of St Leonard stands in the centre.

Culture and Townscape

During a public event, visitors were able to view the main nave, the round presbytery and the church of St Leonard’s rich Baroque furnishings.

The Chapel of the Virgin Mary in Hněvotín is a Neo-Romanesque, open pillar gloriette built in 1870, featuring a statue of the Virgin Mary. It contains an Immaculata statue dating from 1755 and has been an immovable cultural monument of the Czech Republic since 1958.

Active Places

The 2.035-kilometre Hněvotín–Lutín cycle path runs alongside the heavily trafficked II/570 road, enabling cyclists to travel more comfortably and safely. More than 90 per cent of the cycle path lies within the cadastral area of Hněvotín.

The Hněvotín Sports Complex includes football pitches, three tennis courts, a beach volleyball court, volleyball and nohejbal courts, a floodlit multi-purpose court and a sports track with a tartan surface.
