Střeň lies in the center of the largest complex of floodplain forests in the Litovelské Pomoraví Protected Landscape Area and is also the only municipality within this protected landscape area.
Nature and landscape
The cadastral area of Střeň includes protection zones II and IV of the Litovelské Pomoraví Protected Landscape Area. The Morávka river arm once flowed directly through Střeň.
Culture and history
The Chapel of St. George is the oldest surviving monument in Střeň. It was built in 1718, reconstructed, and reconsecrated in 1992. The cross known as Kříž s Kristem was erected in the center of Střeň in 1867 as an expression of gratitude that the village had been spared from cholera.
The former railway station building in Střeň was designed in the Alpine style and put into operation on October 1, 1911.
Cycling route and bridges
The Moravská stezka cycling route passes through Střeň. On the section of the Moravská stezka between Lhota nad Moravou and Střeň, cyclists cross the Morava River by a bridge before reaching the village. The Hrobé most bridge lies between Střeň and Lhota, while the O bílech slópku bridge is located in the direction of Štěpánov.

The recreational area in Střeň has a children's playground. Sand courts for tennis or volleyball are available there.
