Sudkov: Hotels and Accommodations
The Sudkovský rybník pond was created around 1480. It has four islands that provide a habitat for waterfowl and is currently used exclusively by sport anglers.
History and Architectural Heritage
The Sudkov flax spinning mill transformed the formerly agricultural village into an industrial area. The Moravolen textile factory complex was the scene of clashes among workers in March 1929.
Villa Emmi, also known as Sudkovský zámeček or Seidlova vila, served from the outset as the residence of the owners of the Sudkov spinning mill. The Chapel of Saint Procopius in Sudkov was built in 1795. Another testament is Farmstead No. 1 in Sudkov, an example of vernacular architecture from 1840 with stucco decoration on the residential section.
The evangelical prayer house in Sudkov was ceremonially opened on August 29, 1937. Exhibitions are occasionally held there, some in conjunction with concerts and musical performances.
Cycling Connections
The Moravská stezka long-distance route runs along the southern edge of Sudkov via a road originally built for agricultural purposes. In Sudkov, cycling routes 6187 and 6114 also connect to the Moravská stezka.
