History
Zlatý Potok was probably founded in the second half of the 16th century and belonged to the Rudá estate. The historical German name Goldenfluss was derived from its location on a stream that flows into the Morava River. Following the post-war changes resulting from the expulsion of the Germans and resettlement, Zlatý Potok developed into a locality dedicated exclusively to recreation.
Hiking and cycling
The M 91 hiking trail connects the Jeřáb Massif and Suchý vrch through the Březná valley. On either side, half of the route can be used as an access route; return options are available via Králíky or Štíty. A cycling tour listed in Kolovna’s route list passes through Zlatý Potok.
