Nasavrky: Hotels and Accommodation

Nasavrky offers a direct connection to Celtic history and regional culture. The exhibition “In the Footsteps of the Celts” is located on the first floor of Nasavrky Castle. The castle is a preserved historic building and serves as a cultural venue for the city.

Culture and History

The exhibition uses interactive elements and presents original archaeological finds from sites in the Pardubice Region. A guided tour lasts approximately 45 to 60 minutes and is conducted in Czech. The historical setting also includes the Church of St. Giles, which was originally built in the Gothic style towards the end of the 13th century.

The Železné hory Celtic Trail runs through sites of former Celtic settlement around Hradiště and Nasavrky. At the open-air Celtic museum, visitors can borrow marked equipment for historical, sporting, and recreational activities.

Nature and Trails

Kaštanka Park is freely accessible to the public. Around one hundred sweet chestnut trees grow in Kaštanka, and two educational trails run through it. The V Koutech Nature Reserve lies on the western edge of Nasavrky; the bog arum grows there.

The Nasavrky Tourist Information Centre provides information about educational trails, hiking and cycling routes, the Železné hory Celtic Trail, and tourist attractions.

Local Traditions

At Hostinec U Dubového Kelta, visitors can taste local mead, which is considered a traditional drink of the Celts. “Kaštanobraní” is a sweet chestnut festival held in Kaštanka; the tenth edition was announced for 2025.
