Předenice: Hotels and accommodations

Předenice was first mentioned in 1239 in a document issued by Kladruby Monastery. Before 1379, Předenice passed from ecclesiastical into secular ownership. In the 15th century, the estates of Předenice gradually divided into two parts of the village. In 1540, Trystan from the Předenicer family sold part of Předenice to the Nebílovy estate; the second part was assigned to the Řenče estate in 1603 and later to Dolní Lukavice.

The former fortified complex of Předenice stood on the site of today’s house no. 27; earthworks have been preserved in its garden. The fortified complex of Předenice lost its function as a noble residence and fell into disrepair.

The Chapel of the Virgin Mary is associated with Předenice. Dolní Lukavice Chateau was built from 1708 according to a design by the architect Jakub Auguston the Younger. Joseph Haydn worked at Dolní Lukavice Chateau from 1758 to 1760 and composed his first symphony there.

The Nebílovy educational trail is 5.7 km long and has six stations with information panels. It begins at the Baroque chateau in Nebílovy. The column with a statue of the Holy Trinity on the Nebílovy educational trail dates from approximately the middle of the 18th century.
