Culture and history

The chapel in Sobín is considered an outstanding example of a small Neo-Gothic religious building from 1885 and one of the few structures of this type documented by original plans.

The Baroque Boží muka in Sobín are a protected cultural monument dating from 1776.

The area around Sobín is home to several structures of different classifications: Letohrádek královny Anny is a château, Stará kanalizační čistírna Praha-Bubeneč is a museum, Galerie Rudolfinum is a museum, and Palác Kinských is a palace.

Cycling connections

New markings for cycle route A15 were planned for the Zličín–Sobín section in 2023. In addition, new markings for cycle route A15 between Zličín and Sobín were designated.

The cycling connection between Zličín, Sobín, and Hostivice is used particularly by families with children for recreational cycling. The existing connection runs along a narrow, heavily trafficked road that is perceived as dangerous.

The cycle tour from Zličín to Břve reaches the road between Sobín and Hostivice and then joins marked cycle route 201.

Nature and landscape

The area around Sobín contains several islands and a mountain: Střelecký ostrov is an island, Slovanský ostrov is an island, Doutnáč is a mountain, and Veslařský ostrov is an island.

Paths through the deciduous forest lead to Břevský rybník; a nature trail runs along its shore. A forest park near Břve is part of the Hostivické rybníky natural monument.
