Číměř was founded in the mid-13th century under emphyteutic law and historically held market rights. A Baroque fountain from the 18th century stands in the village square. There are also wayside shrines from 1689 in the village.
The Church of St. Giles has Gothic origins and a tower dating from 1616. It was rebuilt in the Baroque style in the 17th and 18th centuries; it has been a protected monument since 1958. A granite cross from 1808 stands in front of the church and is protected together with it.
The Baroque chapel of the “Coronation of the Virgin Mary” from 1768 stands in Dobrá Voda near Číměř. This chapel has also been a protected monument since 1958.
Culinary Traditions
The Goulash Festival in Číměř was held for the third time in 2025. At the festival, participants prepare the goulash on site. Traditional February pig-slaughter festivals were also held in Číměř, offering typical products from traditional village home slaughtering.
