Culture
The Church of St. Martin in Chelčice is a late Romanesque church dating from around 1240. The original Romanesque portal has been preserved on its southern side. The Chapel of St. Mary Magdalene is an early Baroque hexagonal chapel built between 1660 and 1663 and remodeled between 1687 and 1710. A marked route from Lomec runs along an old avenue past the chapel to the road to Chelčice. During the pilgrimage to St. Mary Magdalene, a pilgrimage mass was held in the Church of St. Martin, followed by a traditional gathering in the natural garden of Chelčický domov sv. Linharta.

The Slavnosti květů is an annual festival of the fruit growers of the Chelčicko-Lhenický microregion. The “jízda květů” of the 2025 Slavnosti květů started on May 3, 2025, in the historic center of Chelčice and attracted numerous cyclists and hikers.
