The Provázková louka natural monument protects wet marsh meadows with protected plant species such as the broad-leaved marsh orchid (Dactylorhiza majalis), the Siberian iris (Iris sibirica) and the rosemary willow (Salix rosmarinifolia), as well as protected insect species such as the speedwell fritillary. Provázková louka is part of the Blanský les Protected Landscape Area.

Nature
The Borovská alej is a protected tree monument in the cadastral area of Borová u Chvalšin. It is a mixed avenue with 62 pedunculate oaks and offers views of the valley.
The catchment area of the Borová stream near Chvalšiny was revitalized in 1998 and 2000. The revitalized Borová stream has a natural, meandering bed with pools and accompanying vegetation.
Mount Kleť is located near Borová; Mount Břevniště, Mount Chlum and Mount Skalka are also located near Borová.
Cycling
Cycling excursion No. IV, “Velká jedle na Bulovém”, starts at the car park by the Nová Hospoda stop in Rohy. It reaches the beginning of the Borovská alej in the settlement of Borovští Uhlíři and returns to the starting car park after passing through the Borovská alej.
Culture
The chapel in the settlement of Borovští Uhlíři bears an inscription with the year 1833. The Chlumany landform is considered an ancient site and is located near Borová.
