Bratronice: Hotels and Accommodation

Bratronice is home to a late Renaissance manor house built in 1603.

Culture and History

The manor house bears the coat of arms of the Hořčice family, featuring two bear paws pointing upwards. The building contains the Chapel of Saint Joseph, which was expanded in 1758 to include a manorial oratory. It is attached to the eastern side of the building and covered by a barrel vault with lunettes.

The manor house includes a French-style garden. Its preserved enclosing wall has a Renaissance portal on the eastern side; a side entrance leads from a local road into the garden. There is also a chapel on the village square, built in 1930.

The manor house is privately owned and not open to the public.

Cycling

Cycling route No. 312 leads to Bratronice; it runs from Mečichov via Bratronice and Jindřichovice to Blatná. Christian Battaglia took part in the longest national cycling marathon, “Praha–Karlovy Vary–Praha”, 25 times.
