The Church of St. Brikcà in Dobev is a unique example of High Medieval stone masonry. It was probably originally built only in the late 14th century as the private chapel of the local fortress. In 1881, it was given its present form at the expense of Jan Adam of Schwarzenberg. The nave in Stará Dobev is now decorated with late Baroque ornamental paintings.
Culture and Local Character
The niche chapel of the Holy Trinity is designated as a cultural heritage site of Stará Dobev. The niche chapel of St. John of Nepomuk in the cemetery wall is likewise designated as a cultural heritage site of Stará Dobev. This chapel is located in the southern enclosure wall and is accessible from the south, from the road. It is dated to 1851; its niche contains an undersized statue of the saint on a stone pedestal with a base. The niche is closed by a low decorative wrought-iron grille.
Roads and Nature
Road bridge No. 139-004 is a two-arch stone bridge over the BrloĹľskĂ˝ stream in the western part of Stará Dobev on the PĂsek–Strakonice road. Bridge 139-004 and the associated cross have been protected as heritage monuments since May 3, 1958.
The niche chapel of the Holy Trinity stands at the junction of the road at the edge of the village toward KestĹ™any and a field path toward DobevskĂ˝ rybnĂk. A yellow hiking trail passes by the niche chapel.
The Stašov campsite is located in the municipality of Dobev, 2 km north of the municipality of Dobev, amid forests by the Stašov pond. It offers overnight stays in guests’ own tents and caravans, as well as surroundings suitable for swimming for children and adults.

The former school building in Stará Dobev currently (2024) houses the Dobev Municipal Office and the municipal library. Road II/139 runs through the municipality of Dobev from PĂsek to Strakonice; there is a bus connection between the two towns.
