The defining building of Chrášťany is the Church of Saint Bartholomew. It was remodelled in the Baroque period and preserves a portal from the original Gothic church; the surviving southern portal is an early Gothic architectural element dating to the late 13th century.

The flooded Nový Mlýn is the destination of a short excursion suitable for pedestrians and cyclists. When the water level of the Vltava is low, the ancient flooded Nový Mlýn becomes visible on the right bank.
The excursion to the flooded Nový Mlýn begins in the village square of Chrášťany and leads via Doubravka and Doubrava onwards to the Rybárna settlement and across fields to the Vltava.
