Culture and History

On the village square in Dubičné stands the Chapel of Saint Anthony and the Virgin Mary, built in 1834. The history of the surrounding area also includes the local silver mines: the David Mine was the largest of them and was approximately 80 meters deep. The Terezina adit was driven into the wooded valley of the Vrátecký potok, which was formerly called Tereziným údolím.

Remains of the historic water canal are still visible today in the Děkan and Prantlák woods near Dubičné. Alongside the religious and mining heritage, traces of the landscape's former use have therefore also been preserved.

Landscape and Views

The Dubičné viewpoint on Dlouhý vrch offers views across the entire city of České Budějovice. The foot of Dlouhý vrch can be reached by car; from there, a direct footpath of approximately 500 meters leads to the viewpoint.

The Borovanský vrch mountain [Borovany-Dvorec u Třebče] lies in the vicinity of Dubičné. The nearby Výhon hill [České Budějovice-Třebotovice] and Baba hill [Jivno] are also in the surrounding area. Trosky mountain lies in the wider regional area around Dubičné.

Sports on Dlouhý vrch

Paragliding continues to be practiced on Dlouhý vrch. The ski slope on Dlouhý vrch is groomed with a snow groomer and is illuminated for night skiing. There are two ski lifts on Dlouhý vrch near Dubičné: a 71-meter-long children's lift and a 340-meter-long main lift.
