Culture and History

Stará tvrz was originally a wooden aristocratic residence surrounded by a moat. Two Renaissance gables have been preserved in the west wing. A Gothic-Renaissance fortress in Kadov was converted into a granary in the 18th and 19th centuries.

The parish church of Saint Wenceslas in Kadov has Gothic origins and was remodeled in the late Baroque style. Its organ is a medium-sized late Baroque instrument. The Neo-Gothic Chapel of the Finding of the Holy Cross stands in the cemetery near the church. It was built between 1856 and 1863.
