Hůrky: Hotels and Accommodation

A precise historical starting point for Hůrky is the Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk: its bell was cast in Linz by Silvius Creuz in 1729.

Culture

The war memorial stands about 20 metres west of the Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk. It is a Cubist work with a triangular central prism and is listed as an immovable cultural monument.

The former Hůrky u Lišova public school, built in 1905, is also part of the history of the building and the village. The former school in Hůrky was declared a cultural monument on 3 May 2023 and is attributed to the work of architect and builder Josef Záruba-Pfefferman.

In the immediate vicinity of Hůrky lies Přední Velký [Lišov-Horní Slověnice], a hill; Větrník is also a hill in the immediate vicinity of Hůrky. In the wider regional surroundings of Hůrky are Borovanský vrch [Borovany-Dvorec u Třebče], a mountain, and Trosky, also a mountain.

Events

The Svatojánská pouť in Hůrky has already been announced as the ninth edition. A traditional village market with tastings and, newly, hůrecké frgály was announced as part of the event.
