Meziříčí: Hotels and Accommodation

The Chapel of St. Anne is a faithful replica of its predecessor from 1846. May devotions are held regularly in the chapel; a Holy Mass is celebrated there on St. Anne’s Day. At the entrance to Meziříčí there is also a wayside shrine, a pillar-shaped structure dating from 1853. The village also has a brick bell tower.

The Meziříčí Chateau is a simple, rectangular, single-storey building with a tympanum facing the courtyard. It was visited by Oskar Nedbal, Karel Hašler, Eduard Kohout and Karel Weis. The chateau and its adjoining park are currently in a neglected condition. By contrast, nothing remains of the former brewery: it was completely demolished, and only small remnants of walls can still be seen among the trees and shrubs.

An earlier religious tradition has also been recorded: on St. Mark’s Day, a procession once led from Dražice along the main road to the wayside shrine in Meziříčí.

The Hlinkovák pond in Meziříčí was revitalized in 2019 and 2020. The completed work was accepted on 17 December 2020. The landscape around Meziříčí is suitable for cycling trips and walks.

The MexWave association supports a youth music group originally called Mexická vlna. The association organizes performances by the music group and cultural events to support its activities. A football match between local residents and newcomers is documented as having taken place in Babiččino údolí on 10 September 2022.
