Mladošovice: Hotels and Accommodation

Mladošovice combines a distinctive village church with tangible traces of cultural history, events and cycling routes. The local church of Kostel sv. Bartoloměje houses a copy of Rembrandt’s “The Last Supper” painted by Jan Kojan.

Culture and History

Kostel sv. Bartoloměje is a single-nave church with a five-sided, closed presbytery, a prismatic tower, a Baroque vestibule and a former cemetery surrounded by a wall. A church already stood in Mladošovice in 1367; the church tower of the church in Mladošovice was added in 1499. The South Bohemian painter Jan Kojan is buried in the local cemetery in Mladošovice.

One of the larger cultural events in Mladošovice is a pilgrimage for the Feast of Saint Adalbert on 23 April. There is also an inn with a cultural hall in the village.

Landscape

Mladošovice lies near the boundary of the Třeboňsko Protected Landscape Area. In the surroundings of Mladošovice, remnants of the border fortifications built around 1939 are still visible in some places.

Cycling

Cycle route no. 1097 from Borovany to Domanín reaches Mladošovice at kilometre 6. The “Cesta za koupáním na Borovansku” circular cycling route also passes through Mladošovice.

Events

The programme of the “Open Apiaries Day 2026” includes a visit to an apidomku in the garden at Miluška. The “Open Apiaries Day 2026” organised by the Mladošovice Beekeepers’ Association also includes a group walk to a statue of Saint Ambrose.
