Přechovice between Cultural Heritage and Hilly Landscapes

Přechovice initially draws attention to the Chapel of St. Anne. It stands in the southern part of Přechovice on the old road to Volyně and dates from 1836. The chapel is accompanied by a stone cross from 1861.

Culture

The farmsteads are also among the defining historical features of the village: Six farmsteads in the southern part of Přechovice are protected as cultural heritage sites. Farmstead No. 5, together with farmsteads No. 1 and No. 2, belongs to a protected heritage ensemble. House No. 13 was built in 1824, while House No. 9 has a granary and a gate.

Those who wish to organize the history of the village according to individual buildings, protected farmsteads, and an ensemble will find several clearly distinguishable scales in Přechovice. The dates and the named components make the architectural information specific without limiting it to a single building.

The cultural calendar includes the regularly held erection of the maypole. Children's Day is also held regularly in Přechovice, as is the St. Nicholas celebration, which is described as a regularly held tradition. Since 2008, volunteer firefighters in Přechovice have decorated a Christmas tree and ceremonially illuminated it. In addition, Přechovice hosts a firefighting competition for the mayor's cup. The various types of events provide different temporal and thematic starting points for planning a visit.
