Lažiště: Hotels and Accommodation

Lažiště lies on the edge of the Šumava, at the transition to the Boubínská hornatina, and offers views of Boubín.

Culture

Because of its urban structure and preserved architectural values, Lažiště has been designated a village heritage zone. The Church of St. Nicholas in Lažiště was originally a Romanesque church from the 13th century. The village contains very old log buildings and newer masonry farmsteads. Lažiště also preserves folk architecture of the Šumava foothills of the granary-house type. On the way to Lažiště, the Chapel of St. Vojtěch stands above a spring.

Leisure

In the immediate vicinity of Lažiště, there is a sports and leisure complex for seasonal active recreation. It offers two tennis courts for rent at CZK 120 per court per hour, as well as a training football pitch with artificial turf for rent. “Farewell to Summer” was announced as a traditional municipal public event for Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 3 p.m. at the Lažiště sports complex. The announced program includes grilling, brass music, and activities for families, children, and seniors.

Routes

The regional route “Through the Land of Master Jan Hus” is a car excursion route that begins in Husinec. It crosses the Němčský potok and then climbs uphill to Lažiště.
