A defining historical landmark in Stříbřec is the smithy. It is a brick technical building from the first third of the 19th century and is considered an architecturally and urbanistically valuable example of this type of construction. With its open front arch of the workshop entrance hall, it became a symbol that helped shape the model of a South Bohemian village of the 19th century. Since 3 May 1958, the smithy has been protected as a cultural monument.
