Temelín: Hotels and Accommodation

Vysoký Hrádek is located in Temelín. After extensive structural reconstruction, it reopened to the public in October 1997 as the information centre of the Temelín Nuclear Power Plant. Culture

Vysoký Hrádek was established as a manor house built by the Lords of Březí and was later converted into a fortress. During the rule of Václav Malovec, Vysoký Hrádek Fortress was converted into a small chateau.

The rural farmstead at Temelín 13 includes a detached granary opposite the residential building. The complex is located on the southern side of the elongated village square; its granary and residential building face the village square and are separated from each other by a stucco-decorated perimeter wall with a gate and wicket.

Routes

Vysoký Hrádek can be reached from Hluboká nad Vltavou via Road 105. The route is 16.7 km long; free parking is available directly at the visitor centre. The Vysoký Hrádek Visitor Centre can also be reached by bus to the “Březí u Týna, JE” stop.

The cycle route to the Temelín Nuclear Power Plant leads from Purkarec via cycle routes CT 1091 and CT 1095 and continues through Býšov to the facility.
