Landscape and Nature

The Svratecká hornatina Nature Park protects the character of the landscape while also allowing for sustainable tourism and recreation. The mountains of Sýkoř, Víckov, Babylon, and Střela are located in the vicinity of Borač.

Transport and Local Connections

The Nové Město na Moravě–Tišnov railway line runs through Borač.

Culture and History

A bridge over the Svratka carries a local road from Borač to Podolí. The bridge was built in 1910 and is an unusual example of the history of bridge construction in the early 20th century.

On the outskirts of Borač stands the Chapel of Our Lady of the Rosary on the road to Štěpánovice; the year 1853 is inscribed above its entrance. The bell of the Zvonička v Podolí bears the year 1744.

The masonry wayside shrine on the road to Doubravník is a small sacred structure in the late Baroque style and a valuable cultural and historical monument on the outskirts of Borač.
