Nature
Brno-Country District includes Bobrava Nature Park, a generally protected area covering 30.90 km² that was designated in 1982. The park lies in wooded terrain around the middle course of the Bobrava stream in the central part of the Bobrava Highlands. On Bučín Hill, slight remains of a medieval fortress mentioned as early as 1349 have been preserved. The Tišnovsko Route follows nature along the banks of the Svratka.

History
Porta coeli in Předklášteří is described as one of the most important architectural monuments in the Czech Republic. The monastery was founded in the 13th century as a convent for Cistercian nuns. The complex includes a richly decorated Gothic portal and a chapter house with a stone lectern. The Podhorácké Museum at Porta coeli has four permanent exhibitions as well as seasonal exhibitions. The complex also includes a monastery brewery with a beer-tasting menu.
The Moravian Literary Memorial is located in Rajhrad Monastery. The historic Benedictine library in Rajhrad contains 65,000 volumes.
Rosa coeli Monastery was founded in 1181 for Premonstratensian nuns. Rosa coeli can be explored from the main nave to the surviving staircase and visited as part of a guided historical tour.
Dolní Kounice Castle preserves architectural elements ranging from the Gothic period to the Renaissance. The Mining Museum in Oslavany includes a life-size model of a mine tunnel with a mining locomotive.
Local character
