Horní Dubňany: Hotels and Accommodations

The stone Romanesque entrance portal of the Church of St. Peter and Paul dates from the second half of the 12th century; its lintel is decorated on the sides with animal reliefs. The church is an active parish church with regular services.

Around the church wall in Horní Dubňany are tombs of the owners of the Tulešice estate. The surrounding wall of the church is a significant structural and architectural component of the church complex in Horní Dubňany. A protected cross stands by the church; at its foot are Saint Mary Magdalene and an angel with a cartouche. There is also a Baroque statue of Saint John of Nepomuk near the church.

During Holy Week, the boys of Horní Dubňany gather at the church with their Hrkači. They then walk through the entire village along a traditional route, unchanged for several generations, pushing the rattles known as Trakače in front of them. The Dubňanská pouť pilgrimage in honor of Peter and Paul took place in Horní Dubňany in 2015 as an annual pilgrimage.

The themed Mlynářská stezka cycling route runs through Horní Dubňany and continues to Hardegg. The cadastral area of Horní Dubňany contains the site of community importance Pod Rybníkem (site code CZ 0622176), designated according to the national list and forming part of the Natura 2000 network. The surroundings of Horní Dubňany are characterized by a rolling landscape with fields and occasional small wooded areas.
