The 35-kilometre-long Rokytná Nature Park lies on the border of the Třebíč and Znojmo districts. Tavíkovice also has a natural swimming pool and is considered a smaller centre of the Rokytná Nature Park.

A yellow-marked hiking trail begins on the outskirts of Tavíkovice and follows a stream downstream into the valley. The protected Valův mlýn, an immovable cultural monument of the Czech Republic, lies on a hiking route from Tavíkovice through the Rokytná Valley. The Nezvalova stezka trail was opened in 1962 in a wooded setting.

The 81.6-kilometre-long Mlynářská stezka passes through Tavíkovice. It is a themed cycle route focused on the history of milling. After 1989, the Ranč u řeky leisure centre, formerly IB Oslavany, remained in operation in the Rokytná Valley.

Culture and History

The settlement of Tavíkovice dates back to the 11th century. The first written mention of Tavíkovice dates from 1349.

Tavíkovice Castle is a protected Czech cultural monument; it has been protected since 3 May 1958. The valuable, originally single-storey Renaissance building features Baroque and Neoclassical alterations. The castle complex is surrounded by a landscape park dating from the mid-19th century. A medieval fortress stood on the site of the present-day castle.

The Chapel of Our Lady, Mother of the Unity of Christians, in Tavíkovice was completed and consecrated on 19 May 2002.

The traditional pilgrimage in Tavíkovice includes a mass in the Church of the Virgin Mary. It also includes a traditional folk costume custom beneath the maypole. At the traditional pilgrimage in Tavíkovice, children have access to fairground rides.
