Culture
The Nový Hrádek ruins were built in 1358 by the Moravian margrave Jan Jindřich Lucemburský. From there, you can enjoy a view of the Dyje valley in Podyjí National Park; the opposite bank is in Austria. During the summer months, Nový Hrádek can be visited with a guide.
The Kaple Bolestné Matky Boží chapel was built in Podmolí in 1753. In the vicinity of Podmolí are Karlslust Castle, a castle, and Lange Marter, a wayside shrine. Richterkreuz and Schönspiegelmarter, both wayside shrines, are also located in the surrounding area.
The path over the ridge of Šobes Hill is known as Římská cesta. It was an old trade route connecting the Bohemian lands with Austria.
