Nový Šaldorf-Sedlešovice: Hotels and Accommodation

From May to November, at least one wine cellar in Nový Šaldorf is open to visitors every day. The Modré sklepy area covers 9 hectares and contains more than 180 wine cellars. The cellars are dug into sandstone with blue-grey clay layers; at the centre of the wine colony stands a historic wooden wine press from the 18th century.

The traditional September Posvícení festival in Nový Šaldorf-Sedlešovice includes the erection of a maypole. In November, celebrations for St Martin’s Day take place at the historic wine presses.

In Sedlešovice, there is a late-Gothic column considered a cultural monument, erected at the beginning of the 16th century in memory of a severe flood. Two further columns bearing the names of soldiers who fell in the First World War stand beside it.
