Pouzdřany: Hotels and Accommodation

Pouzdřanská step–Kolby is a national nature monument covering an area of 157.1302 hectares, first designated on 10 May 1946. The Pouzdřanská step–Kolby protected area preserves stands of narrow-leaved and broad-leaved dry grasslands (Bromion erecti), dry herb fringes (Geranion sanguinei), tall mesophilous and xerothermic shrubs (Berberidion), low xerothermic shrubs (Prunion spinosae), Pannonian oak-hornbeam forests (Primulo veris-Carpinetum) and Pannonian thermophilous oak forests on loess (Aceri tataricae-Quercion).

The landscape features of Obora and Pálava, classified as mountains, are located around Pouzdřany. In the wider regional area around Pouzdřany are the Dívčí Hrady ruins, the Fünfkirchen château, the landscape features of Nedánov and Leskoun, classified as mountains, Falkenstein Castle ruins and the South Moravian Cross shrine.

The parish Church of St Nicholas in Pouzdřany is a late Gothic building dating from 1498; it was probably originally fortified and was remodelled in the 17th and 18th centuries. Near the Church of St Nicholas, the Renaissance House No. 115 preserves a mázhaus and rooms with groin vaults on the ground floor.

The château in Pouzdřany was originally a Renaissance building from the late 16th century and was later remodelled and extended in the Baroque period and in the 19th century. It has a U-shaped floor plan; an arcaded gallery is preserved on the ground floor of the courtyard.

The Moravian Wine Trail runs through Pouzdřany and, in the Hustopečsko microregion, forms part of a route through 16 municipalities. On the section of the Moravian Wine Trail between Pouzdřany and Popice, there is a view of the Pouzdřanská step national nature monument.

Vinařství Kolby grows nine white and three blue grape varieties on almost 40 hectares.

Pouzdřany railway station is integrated into the IDS JMK integrated transport system.
