Culture and History

Krásněves is the birthplace of the poet and prose writer Ladislav Dvořák (1920–1983).

A chapel dedicated to Saint Anne, dating from 1926, stands on the village square in Krásněves. A memorial to those who fell in both world wars is also located there.

The Chapel of the Name of the Virgin Mary in Krásněves received a new roof covering in 2020. It is also included in a list of listed monuments and ecclesiastical buildings of the municipalities belonging to MAS Havlíčkův kraj.

A second covered bridge over the Olšava upstream from Krásněves was built after the First World War as part of the road from the village to the sawmill and the nearby houses. In 1834, Jan Rychetský and his son Václav received permission to establish a paper mill at the site of the later Vrbův Mill on the Olšava.
