Křídla: Hotels and accommodations

The bell tower of Křídla is a protected cultural monument dating from 1843. On September 26, 2024, it was moved approximately 18 meters away from the heavily trafficked road.

Culture and history

The local history includes several characteristic architectural landmarks. Jan Blažek decorated the façade of the cultural center in Křídla with sgraffiti. Building Rychta No. 1, which formerly also included a brewery, dates back to the 16th century. The municipality of Křídla also includes the isolated settlement of Lamplotův mlýn, which was first mentioned as early as 1587.

Festival

The Křídla Festival takes place annually at the cultural center of the municipality of Křídla. Its first edition was held in 2000. The festival combines concerts, theater, exhibitions, food and drinks, a church service, a clothing bazaar, and film screenings.

Cycling and landscape

Road II/385 runs through Křídla and leads toward Olešná and Brno. The “Mlynářská stezka” cycling route also runs through the village on the section between Nové Město na Moravě, Křídla, and Zvole. The marked, non-regional “Mlynářská stezka” cycling route is designated for the Křídla area.

Křídla lies on the southern boundary of the Žďárské vrchy Protected Landscape Area.
