Nature
The Ambrožův dub oak tree is a distinctive feature of the surroundings of the municipality of Vídeň. It stands in Vídeň behind the tennis court, 200 m west of the road intersection in the municipality, and was declared a memorial tree in 1996. Its trunk circumference is 430 cm, the tree is 18 m tall and approximately 250 years old.
Vídeňský Obecník is a shallow pond in an agricultural landscape and has practically no inflow. In this intensively farmed landscape, it is also an important biocentre and a breeding area for specially protected amphibian species.
Culture
The Chapel of the Holy Family in Vídeň was built in 1841. Six memorial crosses are recorded in the cadastral area of the municipality of Vídeň; a small chapel from 1800 is also recorded there. The Švehlova Linden is one of the state-protected memorial trees in Vídeň.
Routes
The Vídeňský pochod on 13 June 2026 was suitable for individuals, families with children and experienced hikers, and offered routes of varying lengths.
The cycling route “Cestou minerálů a údolím Balinky” leads from Martinice to Vídeň along a path. The “Severovýchodní trasa Velkomeziříčskem” route passes through Vídeň and then continues to Cyrilov.
