Geographical Location
Vidonín lies in the transition zone between the Tišnov valley floor and the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. At the same time, the village is situated on a relatively steep slope leading down to the picturesque valley of the Libochůvka River.
Pilgrimage
The Mount Carmel pilgrimage begins in Vidonín every year on the first Sunday after 16 July at the chapel. The Mount Carmel pilgrimage procession leads from the bell tower in Vidonín via Radňoves and Nová Ves to Heřmanov. Since 1953, the chapel in Vidonín has housed statues of Saint Anthony and Saint Thaddeus. The tradition of pilgrimage processions in Vidonín was revived in 1993 after an interruption lasting several years.
