The Bobrůvka rises in the territory of Vlachovice u Rokytna, in the Žďárské vrchy landscape area, at an altitude of 725 meters. Vlachovice is considered a typical mountain municipality in the Žďárské vrchy landscape area; together with Rokytno, it is one of the municipalities located at the second-highest elevation there.
Bílá skála is designated as a viewpoint in Vlachovice at an altitude of 776 meters. Northwest of Vlachovice lies the elevation of Tři smrky at 776 meters, situated directly on the European watershed between the Elbe and Danube drainage basins. Tři smrky offers panoramic views; in good visibility, Kralický Sněžník can also be seen.
History and culture
Vlachovice was founded before 1496 in the domain of Nové Město. The village lies in a region of folk architecture known as “HORÁCKÝ DŮM”. Part of Vlachovice also contains an area with archaeological finds.
Getting around
Vlachovice can be reached by bus and car. A minor cycling route connects Fryšava, Medlovský rybník, and Sykovec pond.
Winter
On the cross-country skiing route from the Vysočina Arena via Vlachovice and Sykovec, a track branches off at the “Sedlo” sign near the Yukon settlement, leading to Rokytno and Penzion U Martina. This track is groomed for both classic and skating techniques.
