Dolní Lažany: Hotels and accommodations
Dolní Lažany is home to customs, tournaments, and events held at ponds, in meadows, and in the village. The nearby forests of the Babický hřbet in the Rokytnická pahorkatina are home to edible mushrooms in autumn.

Culture and customs
The Hubertova jízda takes place along the surrounding paths and meadows and was traditionally organized in Dolní Lažany for horse enthusiasts. At this event, roasted sausages and mushroom soup were served as refreshments in a meadow at the edge of the forest.
The traditional Masopust in Dolní Lažany includes a masked procession through the village. During the procession, households along the route offered schnapps, carnival doughnuts, and other food. The Masopust procession ends at the community center with refreshments and brass-band music.
Velikonoční hrkání is a recurring Easter custom in Dolní Lažany in which local men use rattles instead of church bells. The custom includes the participants receiving a reward on Holy Saturday.
Events
Mácův memoriál is a regularly held tournament for amateur teams of three in nohejbal and takes place at the sports field in Dolní Lažany. The traditional Rybářské závody at the Zámeček pond in Dolní Lažany are held as a 24-hour fishing competition.
The Lažanský amphitheater by the pond hosted a children's relay competition and a nighttime adventure trail.
Cuisine
People who were not from Dolní Lažany could also participate in Lažanský košt. By March 19, 2016, the event had reached its fifth edition and included tastings of slivovitz, other spirits, goulash, spreads, and pastries.
