Dolní Lhota – Church, Pilgrimage and the Bílé Karpaty Protected Landscape Area
Dolní Lhota lies at the foot of the Bílé Karpaty Protected Landscape Area and in the valley of the Horní Olšava, also known as Šťávnice. At the southern edge of the cadastral area are wooded areas with the 521-metre-high Kameničná hill.
The Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Dolní Lhota was built between 2007 and 2014 and consecrated in 2014. Dolní Lhota first appears in written sources in 1449. The village’s religious life also includes the Dolní Lhota pilgrimage, held every year on the third Sunday in July after the pilgrimages in Újezd and Slopné. The local calendar also includes the carnival procession in Dolní Lhota. It is organised by firefighters and accompanied by a small brass band.
The village’s transport links are also clearly defined. The heavily used Luhačovice–Zlín road runs through Dolní Lhota; another road branches off there towards Valašské Klobouky. The nearest railway stations are Luhačovice, 7 km away on the Luhačovice–Uherský Brod line, and Zádveřice, 10 km away on the Otrokovice–Zlín–Vizovice line.
There is a reservation system for the tennis court in Dolní Lhota where you can check whether it has already been rented. Another facility is the multi-purpose sports hall, which began operating on 1 October 2009. It is intended not only for the primary school but also for the general public. Its facilities allow for tennis, volleyball, basketball, floorball, indoor football, aerobics and other sporting activities.
When comparing hotels in Dolní Lhota, look at the specific details of each offer. Booking and cancellation conditions may also differ. A factual comparison of these fields shows which differences matter for your own travel plans, without assuming features that are not explicitly stated in the offer. On the respective offer page, also check the exact location, accommodation type, occupancy and included services. When it comes to costs, it is worth looking at individual price components as well as any conditions for changes or cancellation. Then take your time to review the displayed hotel offers and compare them directly with one another. It can also be useful to check occupancy by number of guests and the exact period for which a price applies, as these details may reveal differences. If several people are travelling, make sure that the displayed occupancy reflects the actual need and that any additional costs are shown separately. This keeps the verifiable details of each individual offer distinguishable from one another.
