Culture and History

Vizovice Chateau has been open to the public since 1948. Thanks to voluntary restoration and archaeological research, Lukov Castle has become a tourist destination with educational programmes for children and young people. Nature and Trails

The Karibuni area of Zlín Zoo covers 21 hectares and presents the fauna and flora of Central and West Africa. In Zlín District, Cyklopark Mysločovice offers a single trail with jumps and wooden bridges.

The Vizovické vrchy educational trail is connected to Vizovice railway and bus station. Vizovice is also the starting point of the 14-km educational trail to Vařákovy paseky. The trail includes Klášťov, where an old hillfort once stood. Vizovice is also associated with Wallachian plum brandy.

Landscape and Routes

The Small Spa Circuit follows the springs and the Luhačovice Reservoir before climbing to Řetechov. The “Dušan Jurkovič Circuit and Luhačovice Reservoir” route passes viewpoints and forest paths and runs along the reservoir.

The Zlínsko and Luhačovicko tourist region combines hiking, relaxed cycling and more demanding routes through the Vizovice Mountains and the White Carpathians. The Luhačovice–Vizovice cycling route offers swimming in the Luhačovice Reservoir after the ride.

Luhačovice has five highly regarded functionalist villas designed by Bohuslav Fuchs. A 75-km cycling route connects Luhačovice and Vizovice through the foothills of the White Carpathians and the Vizovice Mountains.

The 35-km route around Zlín passes Malenovice Castle and the Pasekářská educational trail.
