Culture and History

Two bells hang in its tower, dedicated to Saints Cyril and Methodius and to Saint Wenceslas. A July pilgrimage at the chapel is recorded for 2012; for the pilgrimage and at Christmas, it was regularly thoroughly cleaned and decorated.
Another protected monument is the wooden cross in Hřivínův Újezd. It dates from 1877 and features carved decorations. The chamber next to House No. 11 is also one of the locality’s designated historic structures: it is an example of 19th-century folk architecture.
The Martinské hody is also associated with a traditional festival tradition. The Martinské hody was celebrated in traditional dress for the third time in 2013. The children’s folklore ensemble Skřivánek performed songs, dances and recitations from the Luhačovské Zálesí region.
