Všemina: Hiking Trails, History and Hotels
Všemina can best be explored through its marked trails, viewpoints and traces of cultural history. The Všeminský trojlístek hiking trail network has approximately 14 seats for hikers; marked trails lead to sights and viewpoints around Všemina. The Red Clover Loop is Všemina’s most important and longest circular hiking trail and passes by the St. Hubertus Monument.
The St. Hubertus Monument stands at the highest point on the edge of a meadow. An alternative route leads past the hotel along the yellow-marked trail to the chapel on Papradná and then onto a red-marked trail. From Hranice, the monument can be reached via the red-marked trail; the walk takes approximately 30 to 40 minutes. A traditional New Year’s Eve hike to Kámen na Kršlu marks the farewell to the past year.
The range of activities also includes Ranch Všemina. It offers horseback rides and excursions into nature accompanied by an experienced instructor. A day at the ranch may include caring for and training horses. The ranch also offers weekend courses focused on riding training.
Nature and Water
Všemina Reservoir is a multipurpose reservoir used, among other things, for individual recreation and fish farming. Swimming and water sports at Všemina Reservoir are undertaken at your own risk.
Culture and History
The parish church of Saint John of Nepomuk in Všemina was built between 1780 and 1784 as a simple Baroque structure made of rubble stone and bricks. The new organ in the Church of Saint John of Nepomuk was completed in 2010 and solemnly blessed on March 5, 2011.
Hrádek is a former castle site between Všemina and Dešná. Archaeological investigations at Hrádek confirmed a settlement of the Púchov culture and traces of a palisade fortification.
The Železov Monument consists of two 2.4-meter-high steel plates. The defining element of the monument is a cross of Saint John of Nepomuk; this cross is oriented toward the church in Všemina. The traditional, now practically forgotten craft of Všemina included the production of “čagany”.
Local Cuisine
The municipality’s end-of-holidays program included the Všeminský kotlík goulash cooking competition. In 2025, Všeminský kotlík was the second edition of a wild game goulash cooking competition. At Všeminský kotlík 2025, the prepared goulash dishes were judged both by a professional jury and through a public vote.
