Culture and History

The Roman Catholic Church of Saint Andrew the Apostle in Pázmándfalu is a protected monument listed in Hungary’s national register of protected monuments. It is a Baroque church with a flat ceiling, built in 1753. The tower projecting from the façade, with its clock cornice, was built in 1779. The high altar was made in 1753 and features a Rococo tabernacle decorated with an image of Saint Andrew.

The Reformed Church is also among the settlement’s notable buildings. Its tower was built in 1835. The church has a brick pulpit altar made in 1790, above which there is a carved crown. The Reformed Church in Pázmándfalu was also renovated in 1870.

The Pázmándhegy archaeological site is presumably a burial ground dating from the period of the Hungarian Conquest or the early Árpádian period.

The Nyalka–Pázmándfalu–Pannonhalma–Nyalka cycling route is 12.8 km long.

Nature

Pázmándfalu is one of the settlements in the Pannontáj-Sokoró Nature Park.

Viticulture

Pázmándfalu is part of the designated Pannonhalma wine region. Grapes from areas in Pázmándfalu classified as Class I and II in the vineyard register may be used to produce wine products with the protected designation of origin Pannonhalma.
