What local history can you discover here?

The Tájház was completed in 2006 for the 12th Jász Világtalálkozó. The gathering took place in Jászboldogháza and coincided with the 60th anniversary of the settlement's independence. Residents preserved household items and donated them for the rooms; members of the Ezüstkor Nyugdíjas Egyesület furnished the rooms in period style. In this way, local history is also told through everyday objects.

The ecclesiastical history exhibition offers another perspective. Its collection includes objects, vestments, and photographs from demolished chapels on the farmsteads. Historical documents mostly concern the construction of these chapels and the church. Construction of the parish church began in 1929 and was completed in 1930 during the tenure of parish priest Dr. Kele István.

Szent Vendel holds a special place in the local religious heritage: the community regards him as its most important patron saint. Commemorations of Szent Vendel on October 20, Vendel Day, include a mass and wreath-laying at the statue sites; candles are lit on All Souls' Day. Another memorial site is on Rákóczi utca, between the church and the mayor's office: a monument there commemorates the war victims of Jászboldogháza.

At the end of Alkotmány utca, a memorial commemorates the flood of March 1963. At the time, more than a hundred farmsteads in the Csíkos and Tápió areas were destroyed; the memorial also recalls those involved in the rescue operations. The boat on display was used in the flood to rescue people, animals, and other goods.

What can you experience at the Strandfürdő and visitor centre?

The Jász visitor centre uses interactive play features to teach children and adults about many of the living creatures in Jászboldogháza. Here, you can focus on local flora and fauna, while the Strandfürdő centres on bathing experiences. Wetland, forest, and meadow habitats can be found at the visitor centre and beside the Strandfürdő and campsite. They are situated in a landscape surrounded by farmland.
