Nature

Szenna lies in a scenic valley on the Deregélyi stream and is surrounded by wooded hills and named local elevations.

A large part of the municipality of Szenna belongs to the Zselic Landscape Protection Area; the area is described as being 70 percent forested.

The surrounding protected landscape is associated with native tree species, medicinal plants, protected flowers, and wildlife such as roe deer, red deer, wild boar, and pheasants. This is particularly interesting for travelers who want to experience nature and wildlife as part of their trip.

Culture

The Vadvirágút sculpture group depicts native, protected, and specially protected flowers of the Zselic region in sculptural form. Four of its sculptures are located in Szenna – at the village entrance, by the post office, in the parking lot of the open-air museum, and near the Trivium site.

At 38 Árpád utca, Szenna preserves a protected farmhouse known locally as the “Zóka Peti Lidi néni house.”
