Nature

Vár-hegy, Pusztavárdomb, Zsidó-hegy and Cikó-hegy are also located in the vicinity of Felsonyék.

Culture

An excavation at Várhegy in 1934 uncovered medieval pottery shards. The earthwork was identified as the fill of a demolished double brick wall.

Felsonyék has been documented as an old settlement since 1186, initially in connection with the provostry of Dömös and later with royal property.

The Várhegy site is described as an early fortified site that was later reused as a medieval castle. However, the early investigation lacked a reliable date.
