Architecture students from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics built it around an old pear tree in 2012; the structure offers visitors shelter. A wooden footbridge made of acacia wood, called a “börü,” was built next to Tündérkert in 2013. The chapel, shelter structure and bridge each add a distinct architectural feature to the garden.

On October 23, 2007, residents of Viszák unveiled a memorial tree to the victims of the deportations of the 1950s during the “Élő Emlékezet Ünnepe” celebration. The names of the three deported families—Böhm, Dávid and Török—are engraved on the tree. The date, occasion and engraved names link the memory of a historical event with the stories of specific families.

Viszák’s shared Evangelical-Reformed church also has a history passed down through generations: after the Second World War, the bell in the old bell tower could no longer be rung. This is a brief historical point of reference alongside the cultural venues and Tündérkert in use today.

The distillery in Viszák was established before the Second World War by the village’s wealthier farmers. Many people have had spirits distilled there for generations, and Viszák pálinka became known far beyond the local area. This history is part of the local culinary tradition.
