Tés is a dead-end settlement and is reached via the approximately three-kilometre-long 82108 road, which branches off from road 8213 between Várpalota and Szápár.

Culture

Two preserved historic windmills stand in the area around Tés. Helt Mill is the older of the two and dates from around 1840; Ozi Mill was built in 1924.

Helt Mill can be visited from the property at Táncsics Mihály u. 20; a traditional blacksmith's workshop is located on the adjacent grounds, where tools and finished pieces are exhibited. The mill and the workshop are suited to an interest in historic crafts.

Tés lies on the Tés Plateau in the Bakony, in the eastern part of the Bakony Mountains. The settlement is described as the highest-elevation settlement in the Eastern Bakony, at 465 metres above sea level.
